Why does my wheel shake?

Usually when I'm driving on the freeway going between 70-80 my steering wheel starts to shake, so I got my tires balanced and alignied two days ago and it still shakes a little. what can I do to get that annoying shaking to go away?

Well if you have aftermarket wheels it could be that you need hubcentric rings but seeing your profile you don't.

Mine shook horrible between those same speeds....turned out I had a bent rim...when they balanced your rims/tires did they notice if one didn't quite balance out correctly?

No they didn't say anything about a bent rim.

it might be a slighty warped rotor....I can't think of anything else...unless it's suspension related

Typically, a warped rotor will only cause vibration in the steering wheel when you step on the brake pedal. If you are getting vibration without pressing on the brakes, it is most likely a wheel or tire.

Take it back and ask them to re-balance and look for tire and wheel runout. If they are looking, they should be able to see if it is a bent rim or a tire that has slipped it's belt.

I think that the Maxima is very sensative to unbalanced wheels. I had mine balanced 5 times in 2 weeks by the tire store that I bought my Dunlops from. I finally gave up and went to Wal-Mart and they got it right.
