help me construct my exhaust system

I have a 99 maxima. I'm trying to find a nice sounding exhaust system that won't go past 95 db and will not have a constant drone. I plan to buy either the frankencar intake, JWT or the stillen. I was looking at the warpspeed b-pipe but it will not fit onto an aftermarket muffler. I was looking at the powertech, magnaflow, and the obx mufflers but i'm not sure which will sound nicer. I was first leaning towards the powertech but then someone complained that it was too loud on a post that i searched for. Same goes for the OBX. Price is the key. Please help me construct the perfect combo for sound and performance. Recommend any intake,b-pipe, muffler combo. I cannot get the y-pipe because I live in cali and smog restrictions are strict.

Re: help me construct my exhaust system

Bump, I got a Budget Y-Pipe and looking for a b-pipe now and muffler. I was thinking of getting a warpseed B-pipe but not sure should I get the one with the resonator? They say it fits the stock muffler so that means pretty much every muffler for the maxima thats a bolt on? Thanks.

Unless you get a muffler that is a direct bolt on, (i.e, Stillen, HKS), the muffler needs to be welded on to the bpipe anyways. When you get a warpspeed bpipe, it will fit any muffler you are looking to get.

I've got a stillen intake,WSP y-pipe, and a Apexi WS catback and I love the way it sounds! It's pretty quiet at cruise with a nice, deep growl that reminds me of a throaty V8. The performance gains are pretty nice and it doesn't sound like a riced out Honda!!

Or 2.5" as long as they do a proper weld.

YO

I personally think the b pipe and a magnaflow muffler would sound pretty nice together

i use to have a magna flow it was deep and not to loud. now i have brullen and had the muffler shop run 2.5" piping from the cat. I would recomend brullen, they are a bit pricey though wholesale was like $250 or $300 about 2 years ago not sure now though.
