Here is what I did, and I am getting 320-350 mile per tank:
1. Changed the spark plugs with the factory NGK's
2. Changed the PCV valve
3. Changed the fuel filter
4. Changed the Throttle Position Sensor
5. Had the tranny flushed
All but #4 are considered to be part of the 60K mile service, but if you are having problems now, it would not hurt to do this. Make sure that you are running name brand gas as well. My TPS sensor made a real difference in the shift points, making it easier to save gas.
I have also seen a number of posts concerning the throttle body cleaning, but I do know if it is worth it for me yet.
By the way, I have 74K on an Auto 95 GXE

Bad gas mileage
A dirty/clogged fuel filter will restrict the amount of gas the engine receives so it should not use more gas but a dirty air filter will restrict air flow which will cause your engine to use more gas than required. The above mentioned tune will help out also. If you suspect their dirty, use injector cleaner cause if their dirty they will also waste gas.
