Intake Question!!!
Intake Question!!!
Hey, this might be an old/common question to some. I want to get a good intake for my 97 maxima SE. I've looked into Injen, Stillen, and AEM intakes, all of which were recommended by some people. I want good power and noise, nothing cheap. But I want your guy's opinion. I also want to know whether to get a cold air or short ram. I heard good and bad things about both, but i done know which kind is best for my maxima. One other question i thought of is if an intake would void a warranty. I purchased an extended warranty but i dont know if that matters. It would be helpful for your input.
Thanks alot!!!
Thanks alot!!!

As for the sound, it's phenomenal! It sounds normal under regular driving, but when you go WOT... your engine starts growling!
I imagine that the other hybrid/short pipe intakes are just as loud. The real increase in noise comes from the removal of the stock resonator. Pulling air through a 3" pipe with a cone filter doesn't hurt either

i wouldn't go for a cold air intake... i have heard that they do not make a big diffrence in hp. in comparison to the short ram. and also in the winter due to the air filter being so close to the ground alot of snow/slush/water and be splashed up into the filer which is no good. i have a short ram and i love it... it cost less to!
