I finally raced my friend last night down my road which is blocked to through traffic. We have just come home from the movies, we went to see XXX which was a pretty good movie. When we got back to my house my friend asked me if I want to get "Fast & Furious", so I said what the hell we've put it off long enough. We went to end of my driveway and pulled up next to each other we both had one person in the car. My friend in the VW counted off 1,2,3 GO! On go we took off and I almost immediately pulled almost one car length ahead of him and it stayed that way until we slowed down by the train tracks at about 80-90mph. It was awesome I thought he might beat me and by the end I was shaking a little cause it was my first street race. He told that it was a good race and that by the end he was catching up to me, Whatever? My friend that was in the car the next day said that he was afraid to burn the clutch by revving to 2500-3000rpm and dropping which is stupid doing it once in a while won't kill the car and is probrably the reason why I killed him so bad. Anyway it was fun.

I don't think dropping the clutch at 2-3k RPMS is gonna hurt it bad at all, just as long as you arent always doing it. As long as it's just once in a while you'll be alright. Now, if your dumping higher at like 4k+ everyday you'll kill the clutch really fast.
Last night I dumped at 3k RPMS and spun through 1st..I could smell the burnt rubber. I did it to impress friends who haven't seen my new 5spd in action yet.
