I can't wait any longer for my VI! question too.

It will be here near the end of the month, but I can't stand it. I already have all of the parts that I need to complete the install except for new gaskets. I am very excited. With my new exhaust and test pipe, my car feels stronger than it ever has before. I hope to hit a mid 14 at the track when the cooler weather gets here, along with my VI. One quick question, can you mount the Harlan rpm switch in the engine bay, or does it need to be inside the car? I assume it would last longer inside, but the install seems easier with it outside. Thanks to all the guys that have already put theirs on and are providing useful info to the board. Thanks for the help.

I put mine in the fuse box of the dash. I simply pop open the fuse box lid and the RPM switch folds out, very accessable. I put mine in the interior because I didn't think the RPM switch would last long under constant 180+ degree underhood temps and then elements like water, salt, dirt, etc.

I went ahead and mounted my RPM switch in the fuse box inside the car, and hooked up the relay. Everything works right, cause I can hear the relay click at the right rpm. I am going to wait to install the vacuum canister and solenoid with the intake when it gets here. I got the solenoid off of a 92 VE maxima, and the two wires are red and yellow, which would be positive? I guess I will just have to hookit up one way and see if it works, if not then reverse it.
