The other day i reset my ECU in my 96. It made a big difference in the way the car performs. It has a smoother idle and smoother acceleration. Takes only an hour to do. I reccomend doing this if your car has any aftermarket engine mods or is running kinda funny.

1) make sure everything in the car is turned off (heater, dome light, all other lights)

2) disconnect the battery (positive and negative)

3) let the car sit for a solid hour

4) reconnect the battery

5) start up the car ( dont turn anything else on except for the engine, DONT REV the car!)

6) let the car idle for 10 min (without doin anything)

7) turn the car off, restart it then go for a drive

8) dont beat on the car but at the same time dont baby it either. This will allow for the computer to read your style of driving. You should notice a difference in responsiveness and overall performance.
Goodluck!!
