I have a 97 maxima GLE and was wondering which would be the best setup how loud is greddy with y pipe. I heard apexi is pretty quick with a y pipe also? anyone with the setup please give me your feedback, I have searched but everyone sways to both sides so I dunno which one. Also where did you buy your gredddy or Apexi from, thanks

 

If you want more noise and a slight drone at low rpms go for Greddy. If you want an "almost" stock sounding exhaust with the HP gain get the apexi WS.

 

DO NOT GET THE GREDDY!

The drones and the noise of Greddy will drive you mad..

I'm looking to get the Apexi WS myself.. Everyone says it has no drone.

They're always backordered/hard to get, etc...so be patient

With the y-pipe, the WS is louder than stock, but not Greddy loud, which is VERY loud, IMO.

 

i received my wsp y-pipe today and gonna have it installed tomorrow and i am getting my greddy sp this weekend....i was considering from greddy sp and apexi ws also and i heard the greddy and it wasnt that loud. i thought it would be louder but was nice....i think greddy will fit better after searching....if you want the apexi ws then go to this site http://www.optauto.com/webstore/ they have it in stock right now

 

I was also pondering these questions, I want to put the Warpspeed Y, and free flow cat with a cat back, the only problem that I have wondered about is isn't the Apexi WS a 2.25" system, I know the Greddy is 2.5", if you up the Y and cat to 2.5" it is really pointless to slow the exhaust flow down to 2.25"...

 

I just put in the greddy sp and the warpspeed y pipe. It is really not that loud at all. It is only loud when i punch it. Also the greddy does drone at certain rpm but it's not that obnoxious at all. At first, I had it installed wrong and it was leaking badly and it was freakin loud. Then I took it to midas and they fixed it up for me. It is quiet now. It's comparable to a max with a stillen muffler, oem b-pipe and cattman ypipe. I would say it's quieter then that. Also when midas was tweaking the exhaust for me, they had to bend the hell out of the heatshield protecting the fuel tank. Before, the pipe was hitting the shield and it was making a loud clanking noise.
