ok, i just raced a 99 red GST of a friend's friend. The eclipse had some mods, like intake, exhaust, downpipe, BOV, stuff...

The signal light drag - I got a pretty good launch, but the eclipse (being a 5spd and all) got a better launch. He had like half a car on me when I turned on my NOS at 3000rpm in 1st. I caught up while he was shifting, and we're neck to neck from there. It was like that up to around 90, and he had half a car on me by then. By around 95-97mph, he had a car on me and his lead was increasing. Race over. I wouldnt catch him now.

50 mph rolling start. We slowed down to 50, and punched it from there. If you're gonna ever race a GST, do it at a stoplight!! GST's are ver strong at 50-60mph rolling starts.. I think he had like 2,3 cars on me by around 95. And he had more to go!! GST's are awesome..

So we pull in after the races and chatted, while cooling off our cars. He was very impressed with my max.. He was very surprised that I hung with him until he started to get away.. He says 4th gen maxes usually cannot keep up with him. Maybe papasmurf should give him a run.

That was my 3rd race in 5 days.. I'm gonna be refilling the blue bottle everyweek the way things are going.

I wonder how I woulda done against a stock GST....

 

With a couple of mods they can be made into 13/14 second cars. You being an auto doesnt help you.
