Groan from rear tires just after starting...What could it be?
The past few weeks just after I start my car up, when I put it in Drive and just let it idle, there is a very loud and low pitched groan that comes from my rear wheel area. At first I thought that it could just be moisture getting into the brakes and causing the noise, but it is worse now. This problem getting very annoying and almost embarrassing at some times. Once I get going though, after a few seconds it stops, so I'm not sure if it has to do with the wheels, brakes, axles, or what? If this has happened to anybody or anybody can give me a clue as to what it could be, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

A) Your parking brake cable connected to one or both of your rear calipers is not being released properly when you lower the brake handle in the car.
B) One or both of your calipers are seized and "always on". This scenario would cause similar sounds/weird braking performance and cause your brake pads to wear out very quickly.
Easy resolution?
Go to dealer and have it fixed under warranty.
Other resolutions?
Unhook parking brake connections yourself off each rear caliper and visually inspect. Re-attach. Then yank your parking brake 3 or 4 times. Hopefully that will re-adjust it properly.
Perhaps someone here with an FSM can elaborate on how to adjust the cable in some other fashion if that's possible.
