Anyone ever heard of Sprint shocks/struts?

I haven't been that active on this forum lately, so if this is old news, feel free to flame me for this.

I was cruising eBay and found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1852046462

Are these for real? I have never heard of Spring making struts/shocks for the Maxima. Has anyone used these?

It's all a big mistake - at the bottom he says "Looking for other spring brands we stock..." They must be the struts for another car. So don't get your hopes up.

EDIT: Just checked on the Sprint website and they don't list any struts at all. But then there's the pic. Well if they just started making struts I can't believe they'd start with the Maxima, but heck if they're real that price is killer!

Okay, I emailed the seller to see if he can confirm this. I'll report back when I get a response.

The struts shown in that pic would NEVER fit a Maxima. This smells fishy....

Sellers of springs/struts/shocks rarely show pics of the actual Maxima product. Since there are so many vehicles that they sell parts for, they usually just post a generic pic for all of them.

The response to my email:

THIS IS NOT A MISTAKE, SPRINT HAS JUST RECENTLY RELEASED THEIR OWN STRUTS, VALVED TO THEIR SPECS, BUILT BY SAME MANUFACTURE THAT BUILDS CARRERA SHOCKS.
WE HAVE BEEN SELLING HONDAS FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS, WORKING REAL WELL.

Hmm...but did you aska bout a Maxima? Seems like that's a generic response they sent you. If they only would've made the mistake of adding at the end "For your suspension needs, pleas call us at 555-5555 M-F, etc.."

Well it looks like a good find Prolepsis! I still would buy KYB AGXs over these though... don't forget these aren't adjustable. But on the other hand they are cheap as hell...
