Does the frankencar help alot?

I have a 96 stock automatic se and i was curious if a frankencar intake will noticeably make the car quicker. Thanks.

Well I've had my Frankencar for a week or so now, and I don't feel any huge improvement. I'm sure there is some, but without a Y-pipe it seems the mod is only at 50%. Hopefullt after a Y-pipe there will be some significant power. Oh, if you buy the Frankencar, just buy the midpipe and try to get a POP charger, or something with a velocity stack, it will sound much better, without it, it just sounds like you took your filter off..........

Apparently it is about the same as stock, and you keep building more power progressively.

i have a 98 automagik and i notice a lovely difference. i've been torchin people since i got it. i ate an integra today. he had his intake and exhaust done and was stick. he pulls up to me at the light and starts revvin. so i floor it and the wheels peel a little, and killed him like he was standin still. i had him by a good 3 car lengths. its not a whole lot of hp gain but it really help in the low and high end with the hybrid intake......
