It seems like yesterday when I bought my max.. I averaged exactly 30k/year.

For future searches and as a reference to new org members, I'll put some numbers down.


Mileage 120k. (Aug 98 - Aug 02)
Things that went bad prematurely - nothing
Things that failed due to expected service life - nothing yet

* My stock shocks went out around 50k. I carried lots and lots of people, many 50lb rice bags, and regularly carried speakers and music equipment for my church in college, and this is very bad for your shocks. lol

* Just got my 4th set of tires, counting the OEM toyos that came on the car. I'm a tire eating ****.

I have never flushed my brake or the power steerint fluid. Will be doing them soon, in celebration of my 120k mark. I'm going to be flushing my tranny fluid, doing an oil change, change PCV valve, and make the car spankin brand new again, and ride it for another 120k. And after that, I'm gonna be doing the same thing again, and ride for another 120k.

Lets see.. $70 for complete tranny flush.. $50 for brake flush,, another $50 for power steering flush... ouch....

An oh, the 2 accesory belts have never been changed in 120k miles !! gotta do them too, and thats another $140..
