driver side window roll up too slow

I don't know what's going on, but my driver side window just doesn't roll up/down like normal. It would go really slowly up or down. The other windows don't have this problem. Need more grease? Any ideas? Tks.

I agree. Mine did the same thing and i replaced the motor. about $150 for the motor at O'reilly. I went ahead and changed the regulator (the wire/railing that does the actual mechanical lifting of the window), because i heard it was a common mode of failure, too.

Its a DIY job - dealer will likely charge around $500 to do it. It just takes some time and patience. Just don't forget to tape your window to the door frame while your working - falling glass is not much fun.

Good luck!

That's not good. I think I'll just put up with it for the time being.

Before you do that you could try some silicone lubricant in the window rails. Could be just lubrication. The Pyroil brand that comes in a spray can is useful for this.

He's got a point. I would try that first.

Thanks, I'll definitely try this first. Much cheaper route.
