Subwoofers making my trunk sag!! What do i do??
Subwoofers making my trunk sag!! What do i do??
I am setting up my 99 maxima for sound, and am adding an enclosure for four 12" subwoofers that will weigh more than 200 lbs. My basic enclosure for three subwoofers that is in there now is allready making my tail sag. I was planning on adding the KYB AGXs to the back so i could adjust them to support the woofers. What do you guys suggest to maintain stock height and comfort?

Get Sprints with your agx. Your car will look perfectly even with a system in the back. The Sprints sit alot higher in the back than the front, and when I had two 12"s and two amps back there it was almost even, the back was still slightly higher. But now I'm dragger style again after my system was stolen

...or you could go two 18" and get even more "boom" than from four 12" and probably save yourself some money, amp power and some wiring headaches as well.
Two 18's have a total cone surface area of approx 510 sq.in., where four 12's have approx 450 sq. in.
Of course, the enclosures to make proper use of the two 18's would take up most of your trunk space - but, done properly, should add only 80 lbs or so - as opposed to 200.
