Can anyone vouch for Fast Lane Intakes?

Hey guys,
Right now I'm running a Poorman's HAI on my Max, and I just don't feel comfortable with it. So I've been looking at intakes for quite a while. I am currently in the Frankencar GD, but I'm not sure I want to wait until mid-September anymore. When Fast Lane came out with their intake it seemed that everyone who talked about them had some relationship w/ the owners. Since the first few posts there hasn't been much said about the intakes.

I was just wondering who has actually received a Fast Lane intake? How do yo like it? Have you ever used a different intake? How much $?

I don't mean any disrespect to NightRider or PapaSmurf, just trying to cover my butt.

Thanks

I have never met the FLP guys but I should have my FLP intake in a day or two.

If you can't wait, just get the nightrider intake.
I say this again and again, and I will say it again.

AN INTAKE IS AN INTAKE IS AN INTAKE.

But nightrider is a DC crew. gotta support him.
Get his intake!!

I cannot personally vouch fo rthem, but I have read a lot of threads regardign their intake versus frankencar and waepon R intakes, and I have to agree...it seems that FOR THE MOST part, an intake is an intake is an intake.

Given this fact, when I get the $, I am goign with FLP because they are local to me, and I like to keep my money local, when I can.

Not to mention, what I DO hear is at LEAST as good as anything else on the market at that price...

same thing here - waiting for more people to have it to see how it compares to the frankencar. Or i might just get tired of waiting, get up, go to home depot, get an appropriate pipe, some hoses, other miscelaneous things, and build my own!

What keeps running through my mind is this:
FCP vs. Injen vs. FLP

They are all pretty much hot air intakes....Injen sits behind the radiator, so no way is it drawing cool air. So horsepower differences will be minimal. At most maybe a 1-2 hp difference between the three. (again correct me if i'm wrong)

I plan on getting the NX kit that Jime is running shortly, but I don't think any of those three will make a differnce as far as install goes.

So the difference is going to be price and looks, correct? Plus, I have a '96, so I have that extra air temp sensor. Do any of these accomodate that, or will I just have to put it next to the filter again?

Our intakes are made to your order. If you request it, it can be done.

Nightrider-

I need a contact # for a custom order. How do I contact you? I posted a similar request in the DC max section, but that was a while ago. Do I just call your cell phone?
