Fan problem
Fan problem
I have a 96 SE, 144K miles. Yesterday I noticed that the fan only works on the highest setting. When I put the fan on low or med I dont get any air flow although the Air Conditioner will stay engauged if the button is pushed in.
Do you thinkit's the fan or the switch?
Regards,
Joel

Your resistor block has failed. It's a $20 part from Nissan. It's located under your glove box attached to the HVAC ducts just after the blower motor. There is a connector on it with a few wires on it. Very simple fix. If you just get the part from your local dealer first, it will make it easier for you to spot it under the dash.
Re: Fan problem
Thanks for the quick reply, only 3 minutes.
The only thing quicker was the time it took to change out the resistor block. BTW I paid $40 for the part (Browns Nissian, Arlington VA)
Thanks again,
Joel
