Y-Pipe or Catback?

Which option would make my car louder:

A Y-Pipe with an aftermarket muffler (I am thinking Apexi)

or

A catback Apexi exhaust

I am going for the quieter one, so please let me know. Thanks!

apexi catback is usually the quietest aftermarket cat back for our car....how bout....y pipe, b pipe, and stock muffler...all the hp gains, very little extra sound

if your so worried about sound then its ovious, your not into getting the full peformance out of your car, just go with a after market muffler then, no one see's the piping and u can have a nice big shinny muffler to show off to your friends, but if you really wanna see what untaped power your maxima has, then get the Y pipe, and the Cat back, and send thoes honda boys crying home to there mothers

If you decide to get both, and not sure witch to get first , get the Y pipe...you will see more power from it...then get the cat back and if you want to save money , u can do it the way i did...i went and got 2.5 inch custom piping done, and a HKS stright threw muffler from off the net for like 50$ and all together i payed 130

Y-Pipe. It's quiter, cheaper, and makes more power.

I do want the exhaust to be quiet, but I also want the aftermarket muffler look. So, you guys are saying that with an apexi muffler, getting the y-pipe would be quieter than getting the apexi muffler + B-Pipe?

y-pipe will give you most power and isnt that loud, then just get a quiet nice sounding muffler.

hell, if you are going to do exhaust, do it all at once.

i want performance, sound and looks, but no rice

here is what i plan on doint all at once:
warpspeed aluminized y-pipe
carsound high flow cat
apexi catback

this takes care of ALL the piping behind the headers, it should yield a good low rumble and sound ferocious at WOT and the HP gains will be significant.

we don't need a yPipe or a catback system to do the following! All we need is a heavy foot!

not true, my dad had a 93, he loved it, there were many options then... VTEC was optional and even an all wheel steering system, but it was not that fast even with VTEC.
