i am going to do my indiglo needles. i was wondering because i have the orange se needles, what type of paint did you guys use to paint your neeldles after you removed the orange. i was wondering if you can use hobby paint? this is the same paint you use for model airplanes. anyone know?

Thanks,
Lenny.

I just found some white backed needles off an early 90s 240sx at a scrap yard. I think I've heard of people using white out to paint the needles though.

thanks but i really dont feel like looking for different needles when all i have to do is remove the orange and paint mine. what type of paint have you guys used. i think white out is ugly. has anyone used hobby paint i was thinking of using white mixed with a dab of blue.but i dont know if this type of paint will block the indiglo lights from going through the needles.

Your best bet is to go and swap your needles. Otherwise you won't have a perfectly smooth back ground for your needles. But if you are still going to try to sand your paint off, use dyes, I would suggest the same color as your glowing needle color.

What color needle kit did you get? I have a 99 and have the orange needles too, but I got the Red kit and i didn't paint anything and they look awesome at night. The white guages will help with the reflection as well. Hope you have those too.
