I bet it's possible but he cost will depend on where you buy the parts from. No one has even attempted it yet.

Do a 5 speed conversion, then get a 2k2 shift **** and slap it on and tell everyone you did a 6 speed conversion.

No one will be the wiser.

Just like people always wonder if my '99 has a 6 speed manual, due to 2k3 stock shift ****

Ummmm ... doesn't a 6 speed need a clutch too?

There are also directions on how to do a 5 speed conversion in the 4th gen FAQ thread up top.

There is a write up on the 5spd swap. Check the 4th Gen FAQ's

The price difference between the 5 speed and the 6 speed probably doesn't justify the difference in performance. It's probably >$1500 to get just a 5 spd. doing your own wrenching. If you aren't doing the labor expect to be over $2000. I've only found one 6 spd at a junk yard and it was selling for $1000 with no HLSD.

Now if you find a 6 spd with an HLSD in working order for a reasonable price, I say go for it.

I've been able to clutchless shift on the 6 speed max(only when driving hard). I wonder if it still would be able to do so on the vq30.
