help with strut bearing installation!!
Hey guys I need your help once again. The guy who I had put on my GC's didnt put back on my strut bearings, and theres know way im going back to him, why just so he could possibly mess something up. Well anyways, I guess it paid off by watching how he got off all my suspension(sp) I have a pretty good grasp as to what to do, and Im wanting to know where exactly does the bearing go? how do they go in. Any pics of what im talking about would be great. Also He gave me all the pieces he didnt reinstall, any other thing Ishould look for while im doing this, I mean if he left bearing off what else could have possible left off. Thanks guys and girls for your help!!
Thanks

I wish I had a pic for you. The strut bearing goes on top of the upper spring perch. The thing that says "OUT" on it. BTW - Make sure the word "OUT" faces out when you put it back together. Next comes the upper strut mount. Thats the thing with the 3 studs on it that goes up into your engine compartment.
Make sense? The bearing sits between those two components. The spring and it's perch must move with the steering. The upper strut mount stays stationary.

GO to http://www.motorvate.ca/index.html look under Interesting fixes for the turning noise fix. This should solve your problem.I changed mine a few months ago using this and it worked fine.Just make sure to Mark the positions of various components and replace with new strut bearings.
take care,
