tightening of strut tower bar

just installed strut tower bar today that i ordered from stealth max, good business and a good looking bar. First impressions, 100% noticeable, its not one of those things u get cuz everyone has one which some think and i used to think. It compliments my progress springs and agx's setup nicely. over bumps it is very controlled and feels tons more solid, the question you ask? i wasnt about to go buy a torque wrench for 35 dollars at advanced and just hand did it, i made them tight with a small rachet that isnt very able of high torque then gave it a last push with a big breaker bar. What is the worst that can happen from being too tight or too loose. Its at a perfect medium right now with a lil more towards the tight side. thanks

only fitment issues were moving the coolant line on the passenger side about a 1/4 inch.

Too tight? Strip your struts out.

Too loose? Lose your struts.

it's not that much of a problem. if you were mounting something on the center bolt I would say go with a torque wrench. in this case just tighten to the widespread "snug and a half" spec.

The FSTB was my first mod and I just went out a bought one. I figured it couldn't hurt, and I've used it several times since. I guess better safe than sorry.

if you can find the TW $20 or less I'd say buy it. otherwise just snug and a half will do fine. i've used that for over a year and no problems at all (knock on wood).

Lucky for me my dad has a garage full of tools he hardly uses anymore... one of those is a torque wrench.
