Weird codes after UPRD ecu install
Well I installed a UPRD ecu that I bought off of an org member in my 95 max. I got a check engine light which I did not have with my old ecu on. 04 02 and 08 07, fuel tank temp sensor and evap canister purge control valve. Are these ligite codes or are these known codes that are thrown with the ecu?? Help I dont know what to do. Thanks for the help guys.

I got some codes too. But mine was 04 07, Crankshaft position sensor and the knock sensor code. I replaced Knock and that code went away but the crankshaft position sensor is still there. Ive tried a millin things but it wont go away so I take out CEL bulb

I bought a G-force ECU off ebay a few months ago. It was reportedly for '95-96 manual. I have a 95 MT. Unfortunately, after the install, I had about 7 ECU codes pop up including, I think, the ones you both list. I didn't like that so the vendor allowed me to return it (thankfully). All, I can think of is that the serials didn't match and there may have been slight differences which caused the CEL. Your best bet would be to have your own ECU modified or get an ECU with the same serial number from a junk yard. Anything else and you may get spurious codes. STill, some codes do not affect performance, but if you are like me, the mere sight of the CEL on is intolerable.
