I know you can swap out the ecu for a 96 but i was just wondering if there are plans to make an ecu for the 97-99 maximas

 

Yes. You need to make an adapter harness for the ECU first. Other than that there is no other way. Unless 200 of you guys send JWT a $50-100 deposit that is.

 

I don't know about the JWT, but JET makes one for about 300 bucks. You can find it on NOPIonline or JCW.com. The website has all the other info you need at JET products online. I just posted a thread about this ECU upgrade, i'm looking for feedback from people who have it or have heard of it...

Did you just plug a "regular" 96 ECU in your 97? Do you feel any gains?

 

I have a 95 moddified JWT ECU in my 97 Maxima and it sends the cel light on after about 80 miles of driving.

I pulled the code and it has to do with the rear 02 sensor.

The gains are good and the car revs much faster.
