Another Maxima with Switches. Nice
What kind of setup did you go with? Air strut, Cylinders, or bags?
How many switches? Can you hop?

Thanks!

Thats tight! Did you get that kit from alex? I was thinkin about gettin air ride, but im savin for a s/c or turbo, neway that biga$$ tank wouldnt fit in my trunk with my system . Id drive around with my car as high as it could go cause it just looks funny! what setup u got, bags or cylinders? Is the compressor really loud?

Looking good Tom. Can't wait to get the rest of my needed stuff to get my car back on air this week.. I am getting some stuff welded, so be ready for that (actually just welding stress cracks on the frame).

That compressor is huge.

Hey man,
Answer me some questions. How long does it take to go from fully lowered to fully raised? Does the compressor make a lot of noise? How does the car handle as compared to stock? Do you get a lot of bouncing as you're going down the road? I'm curios about the air suspensions. They seem popular but I read in Hot Rod Magazine about a year ago where a guy put airbags in and he hated the ride/handling. I was wondering how some of the newer technology compared. Thanks.

freedog as long as my tnak is full it just takes a few seconds to raise the entire car up..the compressor is kinda loud but i can barley hear it if i have my radio on...plus it doesnt run for more than a few minutes at a time n e ways the handling is decent i guess....i dont recommend taking fast turns or doing autocross with air ride.....

thebigsadler thanx jason i cant wait to see ur air ride all done.

bbaker025 yes i got this kit form alex...but i bought my compressor from another company..i already answered the compressor question im sure u already know what i was gonan say

1fstmax i have rear cylinders and front struts(airbags) but i have front cylinders im just waiting for my buddy to finish doing the custom work with the cylinders so i cna put those on the front...then ill have 4 cylinders i have 2 swithces for now...no i cnat hop

dsta the ride is ok....it depends on what parts u want with ur air ride....call alex at southwest autoworks 1602-795-1800 if ur really interested

Would running CO2 in this type of air suspension make the car go up faster?

Yes it will make it alot faster because it will increase the psi that you can run......helium is optimum

That reminds me of my Max-R.I.P. I totalled my pearl white 95 the other week. Had a Blow Jax setup w/cylinders on the back and bags up front. Only damage done to those was a bent strut. But when i get another Max ill be doin all cylinders. But yeah, dope ride mang.

blake sighting

Nitrogen and helium are the best, helium costs a lot more, but with either of the two you still have to refill the tank every two weeks or so, depending on usage.
