Wow. Looks like something got into the grease and killed the race. How did the bearings fair? All pitted also?

Care to do a write-up on wheel bearing changes?

I wonder if i have the same problem of if its an axle related problem. My boot recently broke, and I had it replaced, but it seems that when I steer right i get a tiny grniding feeling, but not when i turn left. Was your noise similar to mine?

my noise was constant, the faster i went the louder it got.

jeff: some of the bearings weren't round anymore, and all of them on one side had ruts and grooves. as far as write-up, someone already wrote a pretty thorough one with lots of pics: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=80784
