How is the Autozone no name cone filter?

How is the Autozone no name cone filter?

It is only $20. Is much different between this and say one of those on ebay?

You will have to check about which one on eBay you are referring to, but the autozone ones are not washable and cannot be reused.

Yeah was just in Autozone the other day and the sales person said that they are more for show then performance. He suggested I buy the K&N to get the best performance out of my car.

AFAIK, the autozone ones are no better than the stock in terms of longevity. Maybe even less, due to the open-emlement design. I guess 5-6K and you have to replace. What is better, $20 every 5-6K or $45 once?

Do the math...

i doubt it. they arent on commision, i bet he could care less on how much you spend. K&N is a much better "lifetime" filter.

if u wanna save some money you can get an S&B filter, its pretty much the samething, warpspeed used to bundle them with their intakes.

I agree with 95emeraldgxe. I installed an S&B filter with a generic adapter. The S&B, like the K&N, filters are washable, too.
