1995 Maxima Blower Not Working at low speed.

I have a 1995 Maxima w/ 96K miles on it. I was driving home from work with the fan at 2 and AC on and all of a suden no air. I said huh? Must be fuse. So I checked and replaced all fuses still not go. So I tried fan on 1. Still no go. So I cranked it up and it worked. What the hell is going on. It works fine on level fan 4 but nothing else. An i hear the AC coming on from the off to fan 1 level transition but fan does not come on till #4 level.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Blower Motor Resistor

It sounds like your resistor is not working. The resistor allows 1-3 fan speeds to work and it is off when level 4 fan speed is selected.

Why does my A/C only work on fan speed 4?

Good Luck!

you need a new Blower Motor Resistor Block. It costs about $35.00 at your Nissan dealer. It's located behind your glove box twords the middle of the car. Easy to replace, its held in by 2 screws. Its easier to locate once you see what the part looks like, the worse part is hanging upside down for 10 minutes while you fix it. I replaced mine a few weeks ago, simple job.
