Howto on 3 gauges under radio

Does anyone have any info on howto do the 3 gauge setup for underneath the radio where the empty compartment is on a 96 SE (should be same on all 4th gens)

-or know of anyone that has done this?? I've seen a few pictures.

If you mean the single DIN space under the radio, you can also take a piece of ABS plastic, plexi, or other material and cut it to fit the panel. I don't know if three gauges will fit, but I know two AutoMeter gauges (smaller size) will fit easily. You can hold the panel in place with L brackets to the original brackets, or just velcro it if you plan on removing it often.

If you have 2 DIN units, you can use the third pocket under the DIN spaces as well. Gauges may not flush mount all the way inside, so the trim rings (depending on the size of the gauge) may stick out and look like a rim around the gauge.

If you have access to a shop tools, you could even use aluminum (easy to cut and bend to line up with the mounting brackets). Also easy to drill out for the holes. I painted the panel black so it flushes with the rest of the dash.

In the third slot, you can fit two autometer gauges and one or two duckbill switches. Don't make the switches for anything important, since it is a long reach if you're short like me.

Hope this helps,

Is that the stock double din height or did you make it "taller"? I would like to stick in a single din deck (Alpine) and three 2 1/16" gauges. Would that be possible? (I assume that single din decks are all standard height - 2")

Those pockets say that they will take 42mm or 46mm gauges... the only gauges I've seen are 52mm (2 1/16") or larger... how are you guys using those pockets for these gauges?

Jon, I was gonna tell you "the one that is OUT OF STOCK" - "B"
"A" hold just one gauge and 2 1/4DIN HKS electronic controllers.

I bought them from HKS website directly.
