WOW - someone please help me out/fill me in. I have a 98 Max and on Mon night, around midnight, my alternator went leaving me stranded Approx. 70+ miles North of Albany NY, on I-87, if anyone knows where that is it's in no-man's land. Anyway, the closest Nissan dealer was in VT area or further south, and at the time I had no idea what the problem was. Now I do some research and hear about a recall? What the hell is all that? Is it true? They recalled the alternators and if so when? And that would explain the "Weee" sound I heard @ initial startup at idle. Btw you can barely see my mesh between the foglights. It looks ok here but better in person.
