Photos of chrome CAI installed and impressions
This is the sample chrome CAI that was done by Custommaxima.com . The pre-chroming polishing was excellent to very good. The only spots that were a little rough were around the welds and the back side of the small pipe. Neither areas are noticeable from 2 feet away.
The chrome also appears to be of adequate thickness to prevent rust from coming through. The longer you leave a part in the tank, the more chrome is deposited on the part. The more chrome you deposit on the part, the more expensive it is for the plater. This is where a lot of platers cut costs.
Overall, a very nice piece.

One thing, before I go to lowes for couplers:
What is the diameter of the ends of the upper (mid) pipe, and what is the diameter of the rear of the MAF and the place where the upper pipe actually enters the engine? I need to know what size couplers i need...

phenryiv1,
I think everyting is nominal 3" pipe except the throttle body. I would have to get my calipers at home to give you exact dimensions.

You're talking about the one I sold to you right? It fitted fine when I had it. You have to adjust the pipe a bit to make it fit just right. I played around with it for awhile until I got to fit real good.
