Is It Easy To Change My Front N Back Brake Pads Myself?

I NEED TO DO MY BRAKES VERY BAD , I WAS THINKING OF ATTEMPTING TO DO IT MYSELF BUT DONT WANT TO MESS ANYTHING UP, I HEARD THE BACK BRAKES ARE HARDER TO DO THAN THE FRONT B/C YOU HAVE TO ADJUST THE AIR IN THEM??
I WANTED TO KNOW IF ANY ONE WHO HAS DONE THEIR OWN BRAKE JOB HAD A PROBLEM DOING IT , DID YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT TO DO?

IF I DO DECIDE TO HAVE SOMEONE DO THEM WHATS A GOOD PRICE TO PAY JUST FOR THE LABOR IF I HAVE THE PADS ALREADY, PRICE TO DO FRONT N BACK?

DO YOU GUYS THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS MYSELF?

ALSO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE WITH CROSS DRILLED ROTORS AND NON CROSS DRILLED ROTORS , DIFFERNCE IN PERFORMANCE , PRICE?

THANK U ALL FOR YOUR HELP

If you can read instructions, know how to hold a wrench (and oh! STOP TYPING IN CAPS) it should be easy as pie. The only reason the rear is marginally harder has nothing to do with letting any air out, but rather the fact that the pistons have to be twisted (turned?) back in instead of just using a c-clamp like the fronts. Since we don't the tool for that, we have to make do with a needle-nose plier.

Good Luck.

I just did mine about a month ago. I'd never done brakes before, didnt have any help accept for a Chiltons manual. It took me about 4-5 hours, (if i were to do it again, maybe hour and a half?) because i didnt have the right tools, was learning as i went, and took my time so i knew exactly what i was doing. This is not tough at all though. The toughest part was turning the rear calipers back in so you can fit the new pads. I too had only a pair of needle nose pliers. I found the quickest/easiest (after 45 minutes of frustration) to turn them was leave the bottom half of the caliper bolted on, it was much easier to turn them. If you can get the special tool, it will make the job a breeze. Also make sure you have a big C-clamp, at least 5" of bigger? Set aside plenty of time, get all the right tools, and take your time. It's easy, just a little time-consuming the first time.

I just did mine today. I think I did them wrong though because they are rubbing against the rear rotors and won't release. Anyone have any solutions/ preventions so he doesn't make the same mistake and I can remedy mine? Thanks.

Um, but anyways, do it yourself. When you're done, you'll feel good about youself.

Another tip is to take off the cap on the brake fluid bottle in the engine bay before you start pushing back the pistons on the calipers.
Place a clean cloth over the bottle to keep dirt out.

I have seen a lot of people not doing this simple thing and blowing the cap off the bottle resulting in brake fluid all over the engine bay and as you all know brake fluid and car paint DON'T mix
