Can I do this with a PR CAI

I just bought a Place Racing CAI. It comes with a Monster Flow filter, it looks like a sponge. I heard that the sponge type cones dont work as good as a K&N. I was woundering if its possible to put a K&N cone on the PR CAI, or if anyone has done something like that before.

Thanks

So do you think I should buy a K&N to put on there.
Where did you order your CAIs from and what kind are they?

i think most people like me bought their CAI's long back (few months back) when most distributors included K&N filters wit intake instead of monsterflow. I believe you CAN put a K&N filter on it, just make sure the hole to pop it into the piping is wide enough. NO reason why you shouldn't be able to

Dont change it.. The monster flow filers are supposed to be better then the K&N filters.. Thats why they put it on there. I believe it produces more HP.

The K&N is louder than the mf. I tested them

Any filter with a 3" inlet will fit.

Everyone has been saying that foam is no good due to a test performed with a hks mushroom foam filter and did the poorest filtration test against brands like Apexi' and K&N. There are brands like Amsoil that work very good for filtration so you cant say that foam is bad all together.

Stillen is a K&N. I heard both before and any intake with a midpipe will sound deeper and louder than just a stillen or jwt cone

Stillen was my first intake, but I switched to Place Racing. 4 sure it sounds better with a pipe, and I think a lot lowder as well.

yes,
Place racing used to use K&N filters back in the day, but for some reason they cheaped out and started using monster flo. Im talkin 2yrs ago when i bought mine from them.
