Squeeking Noise from Strut? Someone Please help!
Hi Everyone. 3 days ago, I installed my KYB AGX Struts. Love them and all, but there seems to be one little problem. I have this little squeeking noise comming from the rear right strut. Not sure if its from the strut though. The weird thing is, it only happens at very low speeds 0-20MPH and it only happens once in awhile. Like it can happen now, and then stop, and do it again like tommarow. Its very weird. My brother was telling me it might be from the brakes in the back or something. But I noticed when i like start from P, and shift the brake to D very slowly it like starts up that noise and its real slow the noise, and as I increase on speed, it gets faster then stops at about 20mph. Anyone know what this could be from? Any info would really be appreciated because this squeeking is driving me nuts. Please anyone out there!
Thanks guys.

Your spring/shock has nothing to do with the speed you travel at. Bumps and road irregularities make your spring/shock work. If the road is smooth, your spring/shock does pretty much nothing.
Your squeal increases with speed. It's your brakes thats causing it. See if it goes away in a few days. You probably just upset things a bit when you had the wheel off and changed your springs/shocks. You might want to check your rear brake pads so see if there low.

Thanx guy. Well, yesterday I opened my trunk and took out the carpeting on that side. I looked where the top of the strut is, and I noticed with force pushed down on the trunk, that noise is there so its definatly something with the strut. I noticed when I tried to tighten or loosen the top bolt from the strut, it makes that same exact noise. But the whole piston is moving while i move the nut with a wrench. Im not sure what it could be, Not sure if its the washer or the rubber piece at the top. And is it ok to hold the top of the pisten with like a wrenceh in order to loosen the bolt or tighten it?
