brake problem
brake problem
I have cross drilled rotors and metallic pads in the front and stock rear rotors in the back. I also have stainless steel brake lines but my car still sucks for braking. You have to really press on the pedal for it to come to a stop unlike every other car I have driven in my life. I had my mechanic install the brake lines after I did the rotors so I don't think that air can be in the brake lines. I have a 95 GLE and I need to know what can I do to get better braking. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Which brand of pads are you using? I have the Stillen X-Drilled rotors all around and Axis Metal Master pads. My brakes are awsome!
If your using a cheap metalic pad, that could be the reason for your poor brakes.
I would recomend the Metal Masters, I've heard that Performance Friction Carbon Metalic are also super. Those are available at Auto Zone I believe.
Most of your braking is done up front, so you can get away with the OEM stuff in the rear.
