The only place I have gotten a better price than $40.00 shipped was also on eBay. Like you said, you just need to keep looking and be patient!

What is the P/N or code that we need to look fo rto ensure that we get the right plugs? Also, who was the seller on eBay? Lastly, were the plugs listed under a search title that includes "maxima," or did you just search for NKG and then look for the correct P/N?

Do you mean 6K, not 60K? I thought that people preferred coppers as well.

People who run nitros seem to preferre the copper plugs due to the larger spark that is created... thats really the only reason.. it makes a larger explosion of power

My friend uses copper in his Type-R, and says other dyno'd higher power all around the RPM, but he says you have to change them every 8K on his Integra. I think if our plugs were as easy to access, I'd switch to copper. But those plugs by the intake manifold really suck. I'll stick with the platinums.

I was just wondering if those NGK Laser platinums are the same as the Nissan OEM plugs, or if the are something better.

OEM plug will have NGK PFRG5-11 on it. The NGK plug to use on our car is NGK PFR5G-11. They are the same plug!

In my personal experience the NGK Laser Platinum Plug is the 1 to use. The recommended NGK Plug is PFR5G-11 for 4th gen Max. In the long run they are the most cost effective!

Hey Jamsan, remember I had posted my times (still running 17s) for you to help. Could the spark plugs be the reason? I'm running 10k old Denso Platniums. Could this be my problem?

The new hybrid NGK Iridium is the way to go! Iridium center electrode with a Platinum ground electrode. So new I can't find any feed back on them. Why don't you try them and report on your results!

They were listed on eBay as 30 NGK Spark Plugs. I found out what they were (NGK PFRG5-11), I knew from previous research that they were the NGK Laser Platinum Plug for the 4th Gen. I got 30 NGK Laser Platinum Plugs for $ .38 cents each shipped. I put a set in my car and my daughter's car. Kept an additional set for my car and sold the rest.

They are about $70 a set. How is projected longevity on them, as compared to platinums? Can I run them as drop-in replacements, or do I need to change something else (wires, etc.) to run them?

I would call NGK Corporate Technical Support. I got their number off this site www.ngk.com when I called them. Sorry I lost their number.

Get the stock ngk platium plugs for the 4th gen. Also gap the at the higher end {.039 to .044} of the factory gap. I've gapped mine at .044 and my car has never run better. I also tried to index them. I pointed the open end of the ground toward the exhaust valves. Much better mileage, throttle response has improved, and my butt dyno says more power.
