i am interested in the generation 2 altezzas out for the nissan maxima 97-99. will a tailight made for the 97-99 fit a 96 maxima???
please respond if you can help me!!

 

im pretty sure if you want the gen 2's to fit you have to swap your 96 trunk lid for a 97 lid. I could be wrong though

no, you can not use 97-99 tail lights on your 96 max. if you look at the two lights you will notice diffrences such as the "ripple" in your 96 max is no longer applyed to the 97-99. this is the main reason why they will not swap out. hope this helps.
