front strut /suspension question...
On my 95 GLE with 115K miles, it feels like there is some rattling going on under the legroom area (right under the accelerator) when I hit a bumpy road. I have only replaced the passenger side strut and the bearing on the driver side. Is this something that may be caused by the strut that I haven't changed on the driver side?
Just to elaborate, I am not referring to the noise when you turn the wheel or the clicking sound as soon as you hit a ditch. The former I believe is the result of no grease on the bearing and the latter also has to do with the bearing mount. This rattling noise is a little bit away from the wheel??!!
Regards,
M.

crawl under and see if the outer CV boots are ok.
Mine just went a few weeks ago.
Could be the driver side strut also. They always recommend replacing them in pairs.
Also, if you have the stock cat converter, check the heat shield.
It's held up by 4 metal supports that tend to rust.
Mine fell off at about 120k. Cat still works fine. If one of those metal supports is rusted through, it could be rattling.
