I used to live in Mass. and New York is still the winner. I have to agree with NYCe MaXiMa the drivers are clueless. Another thing about NYC is the lines on the road are more of a suggestion rather then actual lanes.

Dallas/Ft worth metroplex has some horrible surface streets all over town (i mean potholes unlvele surface, cracks and everything else you can think of. Freeways are ok but not great.

New Orleans is the sh*t, but the roads are the worst. Don't get a drop or kit if you live down here.

I say Philly, which ranked second only to LA in the worst cities for cars list. Also, PA's Department of Transportation ranked dead last in the country last I heard (NJ's DOT was #1). However, we can't forget about NYC, who's roads suck as well. If we were talking about overall most hellish driving experience, NYC definitely takes it, but I'm just talking road quality.
philly flat out sucks. i don't live there. i live 1/2 hour north, but i drive there for work every couple of weeks, and it blows.

NYC in a heartbeat ... some of the roads pull you into the other lane ... it's tough ...
