Just put my frankencar on

I bought a used frankencar for my 98 GXE auto a few weeks ago, just put it on today. It has the monsterflow air filter and some rubber couplers from home depot or something, so the whole thing was kinda crooked but I didn't have time to get longer or more flexible couplings, so I adjusted the placement of the batter to accomodate the bigass monsterflow air filter. Took it out on the road, the gas pedal felt like it was stuck after a certain point, so i stepped on it a little harder and the engine roared and wouldn't stop, I turned it off and opened up the hood. One of the clamps on thetube holding it all to the throttle body was preventing the throttle body from returning the car to idle. I moved the clamp, car is now fine. My dad was with me, he helped me move the battery, when i floored it he was very surprised at the roar it made. He was very proud (used to own a stingray vette, liked it a lot, almost bought a z-car).

The only problem is that now I am getting a service engine soon light. Anyone ever get it immediately after installing an intake (or specifically the frankencar) ?

Did you diagnose? It might be a something got up in your MAF while it was out of the car.

I had a problem after installing the frankencar. I diagnosed the ECU and came up with code 08 07. This deals with the EVAP purge valve and solenoid.
I fixed the problem by removing an excess metal blob, which blocked the passageway of the smallest tube coming out of the midpipe. The blockage occured inside the midpipe btw, so check that all tubes are clear from the inside and outside of the midpipe.
