Lexus Yellow Fog question. Anyone has lexus IS300 to answer my question?

Ok guys, IĄ¯ve quick question for you.
IĄ¯m waiting for my Hanabi 8000k HID to get here and I like to have yellow fog lights look of IS300.
Does it use tinted yellow bulb or yellow rubber cover that simply slips on the white fog bulb?
One guy said they use the condom type yellow plastic cover to slip on its white light and other said they donĄ¯t use this at all and just use tinted bulb.
I called Lexus and they said just bring the car and they will look at it but hey! I donĄ¯t have IS300~ DOH!
Does anyone know which methods they use to create real yellow look on their foggie?

Lexus uses a yellow piece of glass inside the fog light housing. If you were to use a yellow bulb condom, the condom will melt. Just get some PIAA crystal Ion bulbs, or some Hella yellow stars if you want yellow fogs.

lexus uses a yellow flim to get the really deep color.. the old hella yellowstars were the closest thing out there but they don't have them anymore.. the next best thing is the piaa's from japan.. they are really yellow.

Lexus also uses a projector fog lense, which increases that yellow look.

I too will have HID in the next few days and was thinking about goin back to my Yellow Stars or maybe even buying some Piaa Ion crystals. Cause i know my Piaa SW's will look like dogg a$$ next to my 6,000k's

How about the yellow can of bulb spray?
Autodaynamic is selling them for $18+7 shipping or something.
You see, IĄ¯ve 8 pairs of clear H3 and I donĄ¯t feel like to buy another pair for my foggies.
Is yellow spray works well on the clear H3 foggie?
How long it last and is there any way you could buy same type of spray from homedepo? Anyone know the name?

I have had my PIAA Crystal Ion's for about 8 months with no problems.

I've got the 6000k Hanabi HID kit and (I believe) stock fog light bulbs. Once you've got the HIDs on, the fogs definitely look yellow. Their light output is pretty worthless with the HIDs, but I like the yellow fog look.

Hey! how bright is your 6000K? How's the overall quality of Hanabi HID? It will be here in no time and just wondering...
How do you install the kit? could you kind enough to tell me how?
Thanks

The 6000k kit is very bright and very white. When you first start it up it has a strong violet tint to it, but this goes away as the lights warm up. Once warm it has a very subtle violet tint to it, but mostly just white. And bright as all hell.

I'm very happy with the quality, although our headlight housings definitely suck for HIDs. The beam pattern could be a lot better. Once you get them in and on you'll see what I mean.

As for the installation, I got mine from Freddie and he installed them in front of his house. I'd do a search on his .org name (97GLES)... I'm sure he's posted instructions somewhere. If you can't find them maybe PM him.
