hey guys. i currently have h&r springs on my maxima but i'm thinking about selling those and getting sprint springs because they're a bigger drop. i don't like the extra space in my wheel wells. do any of you have sprint springs? if you do please let me know what you think. thanks.

I am currently saving up to get sprint springs b/c they give you a 2" drop,i am going to get those with KYB AGX struts. Its a good combo, but the sprint are going to give you a rough ride. it all depends on what you want.

Sprints are the way to go (if you dont want GC's or cant afford JIC's or Cattman coilovers)if you want a good drop.
They make the maxima look right, how it should have looked.
Yes, it does right rougher. Thats the price you pay for performance and looks.

I had H&R's and yes they were $240 when i got them. Awesome stock feeling ride but better handling. I just eventually was unhappy with the drop. I run 16inch wheels tho. With 17's they look much better.

Its a matter of ride comfort vs look/performance. I will say the car handles ever better after switching to sprints.

Roadbeef, welcome to the forum. I'm not hatin on you either but ya might want to tone it down a bit before the moderators ban ya or something. That would suk since this place is a mecca for lots of information. Information that can save you $$$$ when it comes to minor problems. $$$$ that can be funneled into more mods!!!!!

I have sprints w/ agx's and love the drop. but the ride is a little tough at times. if you don't mind a few bumps I deffinetly say they are the way to go.

Get rid of the H and R and be a real rice man get sprints. If home boy sprint has them you know they are good. Look at his complete crew under his name.

i too have the sprints and AGX combo. the ride is a bit bouncy but not too harsh--especially since you can adjust the AGX that helps a lot. however, my front sits a bit lower than the rear. while this may help improve braking, aesthetically i prefer a drop that is even all the way around. for the price, i think the sprints are a good deal.

the install went very smoothly.

Sprint springs have a repuation of wearing out fast, unlike other springs. I bought some a while back and now my front springs are sagging and I have to get them replaced. They have a lifetime warranty but I've still had to fight with them just to have them replaced. I do like the 2" drop though, it looks really nice. It's just an FYI incase anyone was wondering.

my friend Nabil prototyped the first "new gen" sprint springs for the maxima, and i loved them alot.

i highly recommend the springs for a good spirited driving enthusiasts who arent afraid of a slightly harsher ride.

for $120 from southwestautoworks.com you cant beat it.

If it wasn't for the fact that they don't lower the Maxima evenly, I believe they would be the best springs available for the Maxima. They have very nice and predictable handling compared to other springs. They also are not as harsh as people on this board make them seem. I think they are very soft. They do need the proper strut dampening to be effective though.

Seriously though, I worked hard to get the Sprint folks to come up with a spring set that would be more performance oriented than the current performance springs at the time, namely the Eibach Pro-Kit, and this was >2 years ago.

Of course, those who proclaimed the Eibachs as harsh would surely say their bums are getting bruised even more with the Sprints. To each his own, but at least the performance crowd have another option.
And I suppose the "looks" crowd are mostly happy with the Sprints too, so 2 birds/1 stone is pretty good in my book.
