I got in and tried to start my car yesterday, the starter just spun like it wasnt catching, then a bit of a grinding noise, then it caught and turned the engine over. It does this off and on. Any ideas what this could be? I just rolled 100k miles, is it just wearing out? Thanks for any help.

The bendix gear (I think thats what they call them) is sticking. You might be able to just regrease it. Follow the same procedure for the starter noise on www.motorvate.ca

mine does that too but as long as it starts, I don't care what kinda noise it makes
