Will my tranny hurt my power?

The last time I had my tranny serviced the guy told me he found a lot of metal in the drain pan and it really needs to be overhauled. Well, instead of doing the overhaul I just wanna replace it but don't have the money to do it right away. So my question is, with my not so great tranny, will this hurt the power of my car?

flush out your tranny! over and over and over again lol

I don't think it would hurt ure performance... just the tranny get's worst overtime. Just keep goin w/ it until its absolutely necessary.

Only 130K???

Ur, do you manually shift?

Or how often did you change tranny oil and filter?

And how did you manage to fry your tranny so quickly???

I bought the car over a year ago with 90k on it so I don't know how hard it was originally driven. The first maybe 10 thousand miles that I had it I drove it hard and one time reved it up in neutral and dropped it into gear, stupid mistake, but other than that its been good driving besides the fact that I drive fast. I have only serviced the tranny onece since I've had it though. But I don't think that, that would cause me having to have an overhaul. would it?
