Centerforce clutch?
Centerforce clutch?
I've been searching for info on the centerforce clutch, and have found mixed opinions. It seems like all the people that didn't like them had some sort of forced induction. Can anyone who has, or has had the centerforce tell me if it's worth getting? I know everyone says get an ACT, which is more expensive, but I heard almost everyone say you have to learn how to drive a stick again,( I don't want anything a lot more difficult to drive than stock, because I do a lot of city driving). Also I'm not planning on getting any forced induction (just intake & exhaust ect..) so would the centerforce be good or should I just replace with OEM?
Thanks for anyone's advice.

get the ACT
1. You will install the centerforce
2. It will mess up on you eventaully
3. You either wasted a lot of time installing it yourself or 800 bucks getting it installed at this point.
4. You will come back on this site complaing that you had the clutch mess up on you
5. Sprint will tell you the "I told you so" bit about the clutch
6. Read step 3 again
7. Finally you are done after paying for two clutches when you could have just done one.
It is much easier this way.

I have had a Centerforce for five months no problems yet. My throw out bearing went out and their was a NOPI right next door to the tranny shop and they had a centerforce on the shelf. It has never slipped and I drive hard everyday, and the pedal tension is close to stock.
I researched and read the negative and positive post about the centerforce clutch. I broke it in for about 700 bumper to bumper miles and it has been fine so far. I had the choice of wait 3days for a ACT or take 3 minutes to go and get the Centerforce.
When it is time for the next clutch will install an ACT
I have yet to chirp 3rd with the Centerforce but I do have 17s on.
