sold old max, Buying a new max... you guys wanna help me out?
hey all:
yup, it's that time! i sold my old max monday october 7th. (the one in my signature) and now i think that i found a new max for myself! it was in a accident though... the lady opened her door in traffic, and some dude slamed into the door and bent it all the way back. i noticed small "cracks" and "chipps" on the front and rear bumpers... but nothing major.
they fixed the car all up for me, and it looks brand new now. here are teh specs:
1998 maxima
SE
gold
5spd! yay
brand new clutch
100,000 miles (ouch)
black leather interior
climate control
bose stereo
powered drivers side (not sure about passengers)
not sure about abs
Grand Total ========== $9,500
do you think that is too much? i am buying from a dealer...
i looked it up on kellys blue book, and it said to expect a dealer to ask $12,100 for that max. well sorry it is so long... thanks for everyones input!

well, the reason i sold my old car was because it had a salvaged title, and the dealer in which i bought it off of did not tell me. he registered the car for me, therefor i did not see the title. so over 6 months later, i went on carfax, and it told me everything that my baby has been through, and i just had to let it go. it started to make sense why i had to fix alot of thing on the car, and why certian things didn't work properly. o well. what is done is done. i got only my $4000 down deposit back. none of the money that i was paying weekly. approx. 1 g. o well, i learned my lesson
which brings me to my next question... is there anyone out there that has carfax that does not mind to put this cars vin number on? thanks, appreciate it.

well was ur old one Auto? 100,000 miles isnt bad. SE is the way to be. The price i think could be dropped like anohter 500 if it isnt from a dealer. Gold is an alright color, not the best. how many miles were on ur 95-96?

eh, i don't want a i30. yea yea, i know it is the same car... but i like the way the max looks better. my old max was a auto, and i never really knew the exact milage for sure... the odom said 112,000 when i gave it back, but it has atleast 122,000 on it. (long story... don't make me explain).

I'm debating between two BEAUTIFUL CARS MAN!!! oh my god, i'm making a post about it, its so tempting, my car is gonna be taken from my yard on wednesday and after filling info for release and title, i should get check shortly after and buy one of these cars from private seller, both are on this forum too....

to blkmax, the car sounds good. just take it to a reliable mechanic to take a look at it! you can never be too safe
