Strang noise coming from front of car

I have this strange clunking noise coming fromt he front of my car when I turn. I have no idea what it is but im gonna try taking off my ftsb and see if it goes away. If it doesent I might have a garage look at it. Anyone have any suggestions or the same problem?

Thanks

I have the same type of clunking noise, it only happens when I'm going over bumps and turning. I thought it was my FSTB, but when i took it off, the noise got worse.

I have B+G springs with AGXs, and they're wrapped in spiral wrap like crazy.. The only thing I can think of is I didn't cut my bumpstops. Any suggestions are appreciated

check the perches; if the isolators and string wrap are too far on the bottom/top spring, the spring won't perch correctly. Never use isolators/wraps on the bottom coil.

I had this problem when I turned the wheel, as did Tom, but then I removed the isolators from the bottom coil, and no more thunk.

The dealership said it was the strut mount bearings, so when I replaced them, the noise was supposed to go away. nope. it was the way the springs were perching with the isolators too low.

Thanks for replying (altho its not my thread)

You mean, leave the bottom coil touching the metal part of the shock assembly, without any isolation? Wouldn't that be metal against metal grinding?

The stock nissan suspension had those isolators on the bottom coil, and nothing on the top, because the top of the spring goes into the rubber part of the shock assembly.

Maybe I'm confused, any more info would be appreciated.
