A good MEVI source....

I am looking foward to getting the MEVI, but have had troubles with finding a trustworthy supplier. Could anyone drop some info on this topic, this will be my 2nd mod, second to the Injen intake.

Who gets what from whom is not my business. I do this because I'm helping people out, not that I make a profit. It's common knowledge I don't make more than $20 off of these.

It's a matter of people's needs. Cranman can order any time, and our shipping times (now that I've got my previous problems ironed out) are about the same. I however only need 50% down and 50% when my supplier is ready to ship, which takes 4-7 days after I send him the last 50%.

So it's a matter of how much money you have now and whether or not it's important to you that you not be in a Group Deal.

Cranman can get the ornamental cover for an extra price, however, I cannot. He doesn't mind someone ordering it seperately anyway.

However, I include a free vacuum solenoid, which cost $70 new from Nissan, or $30 from Dawes Devices.

So it all works out in the wash. We're about equal.

Do whatchalike.

ian, like i said, i mean no disrespect. i didn't try to imply that you are doing this for money. i didn't say that at all.
now, john has a 50-50 deal going on. it is just a matter of which thread you click and order ian, i know you are working hard on this deal, and i know it must be hard with people dropping out!! good luck again

The only problem with it is that I had my supplier order the parts from his supplier last week to expedite things, and then 3 people dropped out. So I have 9 buyers and 12 manifolds on the way.

Worst comes to worst and I'll just have to pay for the 3 extra ones out of my pocket and then sell them when they get here.

Anyway, no offense taken. I probably shouldn't have mentioned that part about profit anyway, it's just something I've gotten used to having to explain, if you know what I mean.

ian, if those don't get sold, you could always just post the extra 3 in the parts for sale section. best of both worlds, in my opinion. pay the same price(or a little more for shipping), and no wait!!!
i hope it all works out for you, anyway

I must say that during the whole buying process Ian has been very good about keeping us updated about what is going on etc.

That's what I meant.

I just have to come up with over $1500 of my own cash to pay for it until I resell them on the forum.

Since you will have 3 of them in stock, you could sell them for a little extra money, with the logic being that the buyer pays a little extra and gets it in a week as opposed to 2 months. Something to offset your time, effort and money spent pulling these GDs together. Just a thought.

Yeah, I thought about that.

Now there's only 2 spots open anyway, so we'll see. Maybe someone will buy the other 2 spots and ease my troubles.

Allright then well, first off thanks for such a good response to the thread! I might have found some luck in getting this from a trustworthy source too. Looks like you only will have one left now! Count me in the group deal, just let me know the details by responding to this thread again and of course..how much? I like the fact you include the free solenoid and stuff, nice touch! So, as I said before give details and such. Can't wait to get this mod done!!

So where could I get info on Mr. Cranman's prices and availibilty, just so i can be sure of the delivery time and pricing. Of course rushing into a buy is not a good idea in my book. In need of options and quality of service before I can 100% decicde.

You don't really have any options. There's Ian, and there's John. Unless you can find one yourself, that's it. Both guys are straight shooters and you will get your product. Just decide which payment method and timeframe is right for you.

Nope, people in the 2nd GD got in on the 1st GD extras.

If people drop out, I just bump up the next one in line, that's all.

Anyway, z30maxima, check your mail. Sorry it took so long, I went into some detail and it took a while.

(Thanks for making me remember how much PayPal sucks, sorry if I ranted too much)

I just tried sending you a mail and got this E-mail in reply:

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail1.bllvwa.cablespeed.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<'Fntnt@aol.com'>:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host named aol.com'. (#5.1.2)"

COULDN'T find a host named AOL.COM!?!?

I don't get it.

Anyway, you are on the list, shipping is 2-4 months from late September. I resent the mail, and you may have gotten it, but just so you know, I'm posting here to.

Also, I will let everyone know when and where to send money. If you read the whole GD thread, you'll understand why I'm not tkaing money quite yet. It shoudl be next week when I'm all ready.
