How Long to break? Axles

The drive axles in my 95SE 5 speed have just started clicking in tight slow turns.
I don't want to replace them yet, I have no money, any ideas how long I have before they really mess up badly.
I know this is just speculation, but I think they should go for a few more months.

Thanks

Not too much worry...

Here in southern Arizona you can drive years with bad joints. There's little rain, no snow, etc. My max has had two bad ones for about a year. My Quest van has had one torn boot for the same amount of time. raxles.com has them for $119 each side plus shipping, so that's what I'll do when I have the time.

I drove a Sentra for over a year that way. I just tried not to do tight slow turns whenever possible. Finally I had a local garage replace both sides with warrantied rebuilt drive shafts. The Sentra finally died with 197300 miles but the drive shafts were still going great. I'd go this route again if I had to with my Maxima.
