URGENT: Am I cali or FED spec???

OK in the FAQ it says that on the VIN plate under the hood...the 12th character in the BLHUL series of numbers is the destination...V being CALI...well mine has a V so I'm cali spec. But then that picture from custommaxima.com that shows the engine bay and how to check based on the O2 sensors...if you have 2 O2 sensors you have FED spec...I have 2 up front there...so am I cali or FED??? wtf? I have a 98 GXE...I live in CT but bought used...I guess it could have come from somewhere else...thanks

woah woah woah woah.. Cali Spec's have 2 02 sensors up front.. and 2 in the rear..

how to check for sure? climb under the car.. look at the y pipe.. if it has 2 connections for the front bank.. its Cali Spec.. if its just one long pipe coming down from the header.. its Fed Spec..

another way to check is open your hood.. and if you see 4 electronic connectors up front.. its Cali Spec

yeah thats what i meant...the 4 sensors under the hood up front...I only have 2, so I assume I'm FED...Also I read some other posts and I'm pretty damn sure that 96-98's have the same y-pipe no matter what...that you only have to check for 99+ (as far as purchasing a y-pipe is concerned).

Is the only difference between CALI and FED spec maximas the 4 O2 sensors? How does performance compare between CALI and FED spec Maximas?
